WENDOVER WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION
The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is studying the capacity of the Wendover Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) to determine the need for expansion to meet community growth. Options include re-rating the facility or the expansion of all or parts of the WPCP. In accordance with the requirements for Schedule C projects of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, the Township is making preliminary study material and plans available for public review starting November 12th, 2008. Presentation details The Township’s consultant, Township staff, the Ontario Clean Water Agency, and Council will be available to discuss issues and concerns with members of the public. Comments will be accepted until December 5th , 2008. Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice, the Township plans to instruct the consultants to proceed with the planning for this project and an Environmental Study Report will be prepared and placed on the public record for a minimum 30 day review period.
