| Located in Eastern Ontario, where growth has been significant in recent years, the Corporation of the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer to lead a dynamic team within its municipal administration. Reporting directly to Council (composed of the Mayor and six councillors), the ideal candidate is responsible for program and service management, and human, physical, financial and material resources. He or she must also provide strategic support to Council on all corporate matters in addition to being responsible for clerk services. This position will interest you if you hold a postsecondary degree or the equivalent combined with at least three (3) to five (5) years of municipal experience. You will also have a strong understanding and successful experience in financial and administrative management. Fully bilingual (English and French), you are a strong leader as demonstrated in previous employment. Professional municipal accreditation (A.M.T.C.) will be considered an asset. Comfortable in dealing with the general public, Council and employees at all levels, you will possess superior communications skills (oral and written) in addition to being a person of exemplary integrity. Capable of managerial courage, the candidate must also possess abilities to direct others and be capable of learning quickly. In addition to a complete benefits plan, compensation for this position is $95,000 to $105,000.
