Dear taxpayers,

The due dates for the 2008 final tax bills for residential and farm taxes are June ^30th and September 30^th. You should receive your invoice at the beginning of June.

The commercial, industrial and multi-residential taxes will be determined later during the year.  

Taxes are payable at:

• the municipal offices in Plantagenet and Alfred
• the Royal Bank of Canada, Plantagenet branch
• the Caisse Populaire d’Alfred at the following branches: Alfred, Bourget, St-Pascal and Wendover
• the automatic teller of all financial institutions (with your stub)
• by mail after office hours, in the mail slot located at the entrance of the Plantagenet office.

NOTE : Don’t forget, you may leave us post-dated cheques. 

2007 TAXES  --  You will receive your interim tax bill for the year 2009 at the beginning of March 2009.

The amount billed will represent 50% of the taxes paid in 2008.

PRE-AUTHORIZED TAX PAYMENT PLAN

The tax department will receive your applications to subscribe to the pre-authorized tax payment plan for the year 2008. You have until December 15^th, 2007 to subscribe. The plan can be annulled by the taxpayer in writing twenty (20) days before the next payment, or by the municipality if a taxpayer’s installment fails to be honoured by the financial institution. Only taxpayers without tax arrears may enroll.
