Who is René Beaulne?

René Beaulne was born in Alfred in 1960 and built his house on the Beaulne's ancestral land. He is the father of Nicolas and Martin. He resides and works in the Township of Alfred-Plantagenet as the General Manager, Clerk and Treasurer of Hydro 2000 Inc. He worked for Gray Hawk as a stock controller, forklift operator, Health and Safety agent for the employees and millwright from 1998 to 2001. From 1970 to 1998, René worked at the family business, the MacEwen Gas Bar for his father André, as an employee, an associate and then owner from 1986 to 1998. He was the rink attendant for the Village of Alfred from 2000 to 2002.

René obtained also  his bachelor in science plus a minor in Computer Science at the University of Ottawa in 1984. He also took many Business and Management courses as an extra curriculum.

As your municipal councillor of Ward 1, known as the former Township of Alfred, since 1991, has gained a wide municipal and community experience and knowledge of our municipality and our Ward. Chaired many committees such as Finance, Administration, Minor Adjustment and Libraries Administration Council. He was a member of all the municipal committees at different point in time such as Waterworks construction and management, Public Works, Restructuring of Hydro Commission, Emergency Response, Recreation, Salary Equity, etc.

He is involved in his community as a volunteer by being president, director, clerk, treasurer and teacher to many organizations. He is president, director of Canada Day in Alfred, president, director, clerk of Optimist Club of Alfred from 2000 to 2006, teaches chess to St-Victor School Chess Club and organize the local and zone maths contest and participates as a volunteer for Safety on Wheel and Kids day and more.

René wants to continue to serve You the taxpayers, by being Your voice at the municipal Council and increase Your quality of life with his experience, his leadership and his commitment. Do not hesitate to call him.
