The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is located at the junction of the Ottawa and South Nation rivers. As such, you can practise fishing throughout the year in the region.

You may fish from the docks in Lefaivre, Treadwell or Wendover, or from the shore at the Jessup's Falls Conservation Area. In the winter, ice fishing takes place on the Ottawa River.

For permits and information, visit the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry website.
