Municipal Landfill Site located at 3420 Concession 4 in AlfredTree Sapling growing out of shredded paper

Strict Protocols are put in Place to ensure the safety of employees and residents:

  • We ask that you do not access the perimeter if you have the following symptoms: fever and/or cough and if you have had close personal contact with a known or suspected case of Covid-19;
  • Upon arrival, residents are asked to stay in their vehicles and line up to access the landfill;
  • You will be asked to show your driver's licence to confirm that you are a citizen of our municipality. If you are not a resident of the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet, you will be denied access.
  • A physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) must be maintained between each person.

The Township reserves the right to close the landfill  depending on local conditions and local activity of COVID-19.

Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 The following items can be brought directly to the landfill, free of charge

The following items can be brought directly to the landfill, free of charge:

  • Grass and leaves

  • Small branches (2 inches or less)

  • Tires

  • Metal  

Landfill Usage Fees starting September 15, 2019

Tipping fees apply to materials destined to disposal.

 

*Household waste drop off rate at the landfill is 55¢/p3 . Please note that as of September 15, 2020, the rate will increase to 65¢/p3.

**Construction waste materials drop off rate in the landfill is  $1.10 per cubic metre. Please note that as of September 15, 2020, the rate will increase to $1.20 per cubic metre.
