Garbage and Recycling

Waste management is the "generation, prevention, characterization, monitoring, treatment, handling, reuse and residual disposition of solid wastes", and includes all types of waste:  solid, liquid or gaseous. There are various types of waste including municipal (residential, institutional, commercial), agricultural, and special (health care, household hazardous wastes, sewage sludge). The term usually relates to materials produced by human activity, and the process is generally undertaken to reduce their effect on health, the environment or aesthetics.


Notice To Residents

Please be advised that you must place items for garbage or recycling collection within 5 metres (15 feet)

of the travelled portion of the street or highway fronting your property

by 7:00 a.m. on the morning of the day of collection.


Othewise, the collection (garbage or recycling) will be deferred to the following week.



The garbage or recycling collection schedule will be respected

in accordance with the DAY OF COLLECTION,

no matter what time of day

(from 7 :00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
