Please note that By-law 2009-55 section 3.15 (a) stipulates that all refrigerated equipment (including refrigerators, freezers, air conditioning units, etc.) intended for disposal must be tagged by a technician possessing an Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card and indicating that the equipment has been purged of its refrigerant. The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet reminds you that in virtue of by-law 2009-39 as amended by by-law 2011-58, no person whose residence is serviced by municipal water shall use it to water lawns, gardens, flowers, etc., except between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on odd days for odd-numbered addresses and between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on even days for even-numbered addresses. In an effort to ensure quality service as well as a safe environment for boaters, residents and employees, the Municipality was obliged to remove a part of the currently used docks at the Lefaivre Marina. The Municipality is working closely with the dock designer and provider to resolve the issue in the most optimal way.
