The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is located at the junction of the Ottawa and South Nation rivers. As such, you can practice fishing all throughout the year in the Municipality. You may fish from the docks in Lefaivre, Treadwell or Wendover, or from the shore at the Jessup’s Falls Conservation Area. In the winter, ice-fishing takes place on the Ottawa river.
For permits and information about free fishing periods throughout the year, visit the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry website.
