A peat bog represents a rare habitat to animal and bird species. The Alfred Bog, with its 10,000 acres of unique ecosystem is now managed by Ontario Parks as a Provincial Nature Reserve.

What to do:

Walk the 0.273 km long boardwalk and admire this beautiful ecosystem.

Birdwatching is mesmerizing during nesting time and migration in the spring and fall.

How to get there:

Follow Concession Road 11 south of Alfred and watch for the Alfred Bog signs.
