Tax Rates

Tax rates of years prior to 2023 can be obtained by contacting the Finance Department at munapdeptfin@alfred-plantagenet.com or by phone at 613-673-4797.

Property Assessment

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is responsible for assessing and classifying all properties in Ontario.

Billing

Property tax billing is issued twice a year. There are different payment methods to pay your taxes.

Any changes in your mailing address must be communicated to the municipality by telephone at 613-673-4797 or by email at finance@alfred-plantagenet.com

Payment must be received by the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet by the date indicated on your tax bill

maximum penalty of 1.25% interest will be added to unpaid taxes on the first day of each calendar month after the due date.

Note: the interim billing represents 50% of the property taxes billed during the previous year.

Note

The final billing represents your property taxes due for the current year based on the new tax rates adopted by the Council, less interim billing (March billing)
