2023 March Break Municipal Events

The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is organizing activities in 6 of its villages. All activities, except the introduction to aerosol workshops, are free and open to all.

Wendover—Outdoor Activities

Due to the closure of our rinks, the Monday, March 13 March Break event that was originally held at the Wendover rink will be slightly modified.
We will still have lively music and hot chocolate courtesy of the Wendover Tim Hortons to give away in addition to :

  • A huge connect 4 game
  • A plasma cart circuit
  • Mini stick hockey fields
  • Field hockey nets (bring your sticks)

See you from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Optimist pavillion at 5000 Du Centre Street. All activities take place outside!

Lefaivre—Introduction to Aerosol/Graffiti and Stencil Workshop

Come and create your own aerosol artwork with artist Jamie Janx Johnston from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Community Hall in Lefaivre.

  • Advanced registration: $10 
  • On site registration: $15
  • Open to children ages 8 to 18.
  • This creative activity lasts an average of 90 minutes. You can arrive between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

*Your clothes may get stained, dress accordingly.

Alfred—Guided Walk, Campfire and Storytelling with Le Père Garneau

Take a leisurely guided stroll in the Larocque Woods from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m, and relax around an open fire along with Le Père Garneau, a storyteller, who will regale you with stories, hot chocolate, and marshmallows starting at 3 p.m. Laughter, fun and good family time are guaranteed!

*The guided walk and stories will be presented in both French and English.

Plantagenet — Meet the Keepers Presentation and Indoor activities

This event will start at 10 a.m. at the Plantagenet Community Hall and is free to all.

The Keepers” is an organization dedicated to educating the general public about the importance of wildlife conservation as well as the responsibilities of pet owners! During the presentation, you will be able to learn about, see, and touch exotic animals that The Keepers have rescued.

Following the show, come and have fun with your friends and family for a day of activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free fruit and popcorn on site.
