Message from the Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer

On behalf of the Council and Administration of the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet, we are pleased to present our 2021-2023 Strategic Plan, which we hope will serve as a framework to guide Council and staff in the municipal decision-making process to use our resources effectively and efficiently.

We are at a critical juncture for our community, our region and our province. In this context, our revised mission and vision will help us navigate the turbulent waters of the future to build a community we can all be proud of.

From the outset, we have been committed to ensuring that the values and priorities of our community are represented in the development of this plan. We sought the commitment and participation of Council, City staff and the public in the development process. The result is the document that follows; it is the culmination of those values and priorities that have shaped and defined the Township.

Over the next three years, we will focus on the continued development of an attractive and welcoming environment for our citizens, as well as the modernization of services with the needs of the citizen in mind.

It is the goal of Council and municipal staff to see the Township grow to its full potential as a community, boasting a rich cultural and historical background, beautiful scenery and a healthy environment. We thank you for your continued support and look forward to working together to make the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet an even better place to live.

Signed by Stéphane Sarrazin, Mayor and Michel Potvin, Chief Administrative Officer.
