Nomination Period
Friday, May 1, 2026, to Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Candidates can file their nomination papers by booking an in-person appointment with the clerk at the Town Hall during normal business hours between May 1, 2026 and August 20, 2026 and between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day).
Once the nomination paper is filed with the clerk:
- the candidate can start raising and spending money on their campaign
- preliminary spending limit is provided to candidates
Nomination Day
Friday, August 21, 2026.
The deadline for candidates to file their nomination paper at the Town Hall or to withdrawal their nomination or change office is Friday, August 21, 2026 at 2 p.m.
Certified Nominations
Monday, August 24, 2026.
The deadline for the clerk to certify candidate nomination papers is Monday, August 24, 2026. The township's clerk shall examine each nomination before 4:00 p.m.
Voters' List
Tuesday, September 1, 2026: Preliminary Voters' List is available for candidates and corrections/revisions begin.
Sunday, September 20 to Wednesday September 30 2026: A list of additions, corrections and deletions is available for candidates and corrections/revisions continue.
Election Signs
No election campaign advertisements shall be erected prior to 8:00 a.m. on September 1, 2026.
All election campaign advertisements shall be removed prior to 4:00 p.m. on October 31, 2026.
Campaign Finances
Wednesday, September 30, 2026: Certificate of Maximum Campaign spending limits are available to candidates.
Advance Voting
Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. beginning on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, and ending on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 12:00 a.m.
Voting Day
Monday, October 26, 2026
Voting begins at 12:00 a.m. and closes at 8:00 p.m.
New term of office
New term of office commences on Sunday, November 15, 2026
End of campaign period
The end of the campaign for candidates and third party advertisers is Thursday, December 31, 2026. It is the last day to file a Notice of Extension to continue campaigning to erase a deficit.
Initial Financial Statement
The deadline for candidates to file the initial financial statement is Tuesday, March 30, 2027 at 2 p.m.
End of extended campaign period
The end of an extended campaign period Wednesday, June 30, 2027.
Supplementary Financial Statement
The deadline for candidates and third party advertisers to file the supplementary financial statement is Friday, September 24, 2027 at 2 p.m. (applies only to those who extended their campaign period)
