Knights of Colombus Dinners
Baked bean and macaroni dinners take place every second Friday from September to June in Wendover.
Seniors Clubs Dinners
Seniors clubs all around the Township organize monthly dinners for all residents ages 50 and over.
Annual Events
The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet has many local events all year round. Take the time to discover the charming personalities of the residents by joining one of these community events.
Snowmobile Ride for Autism
February - Plantagenet | Participate in a snowmobile ride organized by Rides for Autism. Donations raised during the event go to local families with a child on the autism spectrum.
Family Day
February - Alfred | Every year, the Township and the Alfred Optimist Club organizes multiple outdoor activities for all ages in the Larocque Woods.
March Break Activities
March - Everywhere | Every year, the Township organizes activities for all ages during March Break.

April - Wendover | Enjoy Easter fun with the Optimist Club of Wendover.
Country Night
April - Wendover | Come dance and enjoy a nice country show in preparation for the Wendover Western Festival.

Free Tree Giveaway
May - Plantagenet | The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is hosting a Free Tree Giveaway in collaboration with South Nation Conservation. Registration is required.
Mother's Day Dinner
May - Wendover | Enjoy a cozy dinner with your mom on mother's day. Organized by the Wendover Knights of Columbus.
Lobster Dinner
May - Alfred | Enjoy a delicious lobster dinner organized by the Alfred Optimist Club.
Yves Lacombe Bass Tournament
June - Lefaivre | The Yves Lacombe fishing tournament, organized by the Lefaivre Lions Club, welcomes hundreds of fishing amateurs every year.
Mud Festival
June - Wendover | Come jump in the mud and get dirty with this activity organized by EarlyON Child and Family Centre.
Softball Tournament
June - Lefaivre | Take part in this mixed, recreational 3-Pitch tournament organized by the Lefaivre Lion's Club.
Canada Day
July - Lefaivre | Organized by the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet, the Canada Day festivities includes a canoe-kayak race, concerts, and fireworks.
Western Festival
July - Wendover | The Wendover Western Festival welcomes more than 20 performers each year and thousands of western lovers from everywhere in the region.
Thursday Shows at the Marina
July/August - Lefaivre | Enjoy the beauty of the Ottawa River and local music at the Lefaivre Marina every Thursday in the summer. Organized by the Lefaivre Lion's Club.
Curran Market
August/September - Curran | The Alliance-Curran Committee gathers 20 to 50 merchants and entrepreneurs every Saturday to offer great choice of local products to visitors.
Softball Finale and Family Day
August - Wendover | As the children's softball season ends, The Optimist Club of Wendover invites you to spectate the tournament finale and enjoy family activities in the park.
Golf Tournament
September - Curran | This event organized by the Township is a great opportunity to network with council members, employees, community leaders, and entrepreneurs at the Nation golf course.
Off-Road Ride for Autism
October - Plantagenet | An ATV and side by side ride is organized every year by Rides for Autism to raise awareness of autism. Donations raised during the event go to local families with a child on the autism spectrum.
Trick-or-treating and Haunted Trail
October - Wendover | Enjoy a spooky Halloween experience organized by the Wendover Optimist Club at the intersection of François and Trillium streets.
Halloween Rally
October - Lefaivre | Participate in the exciting Halloween Rally organized by the Lefaivre Lions Club and collect candy. (Registration required)

October - Curran | Trick-or-treating has never been this fun! Enjoy activities in the park organized by Alliance-Curran.
Candy Distribution
October - Alfred | Distribution of candy and hot chocolate by the Optimist Club of Alfred on October 31st starting at 5 p.m at 2019 St-Joseph Street.
Tree Illumination
November - Alfred | Meet Santa while listening to Christmas stories and enjoying a hot chocolate with the Alfred Optimist Club. The Christmas tree lighting takes place at 6:30 p.m.

November - Wendover | Join the Wendover Optimist Club for a Christmas celebration and Christmas Carols at the Wendover church at 4:30 p.m., where hot chocolate and hot dogs are served.
Christmas Parade
November - Lefaivre | Be amazed by the Lefaivre Christmas Parade at 4 p.m. organized by the Lefaivre Lions Club, stay afterwards for the tree lighting at 5:15 p.m.

November - Curran | The Alliance-Curran Committee organizes each year an event for kids to meet Santa Claus, and listen to storytellers. A food drive accompanies this event for any who can donate.
