Opening hours
The landfill is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- December 23 – Open
- December 27 – Closed
- December 30 – Closed

The following items can be brought directly to the landfill, free of charge:
- Grass and leaves
- Trees and branches below 150mm in diameter
- Tires (with or without rims)
- Metal
- Old electronics may be deposited in containers located at the landfill

Landfill User Fees
User fees apply to materials destined for disposal.
- Standard (household waste, etc.) at 0.75$ per cubic foot
- Concrete at 0.75$ per cubic foot
- Mattresses at 30$ per unit
- Trees and branches above 150mm in diameter at 0.75$ per cubic foot

The Alfred landfill has a maximum capacity of 360,000 cubic metres of waste.
