Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, the Head Lifeguard, and Assistant Head Lifeguard, the lifeguard/instructor supervises swimming areas, organizes swimming lessons for different levels and activities tailored to different age groups, ensures the safety and well-being of customers during activities, intervenes when problems arise at the pool, maintains the premises, and performs any other tasks related to assisting the team. This is a part-time position, working 20 to 30 hours per week, from June 13 to August 23, 2026.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Hold a high school diploma, in the process of obtaining it or the equivalent,
- Have a minimum of one (1) month of experience in the field,
- Hold a National Lifeguard certificate,
- Bronze medal and cross,
- Water safety instructor an asset,
- Bilingualism is mandatory, able to communicate in French and English (orally and in writing),
- CPR Level C Course,
- Certificate of use of the automated external defibrillator (AED certificate),
- Organizational skills and ability to work independently,
- Provide excellent customer service and ability to resolve conflicts effectively,
- Provide a criminal record check with the vulnerable sector (if over 18 years of age),
- Must be available to work at either pool on weeks and/or weekends.
