Snowshoeing sign on fence at a park

Open for the 2022-2023 Season!

The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet has invested in the creation of over 3 km of trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter, as well as a walking/hiking trails in the summer.

Dogs are permitted in certain marked areas of the trails, however owners must pick up after their pets.

The trails are open to all from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm and do not require a pass.

We ask that all users show respect for our beautiful territory and refrain from littering. As the trails are still new, garbage and recycling bins have not yet been installed. Please be conscious of proper winter trail etiquette, to preserve the beauty of the area for all visitors.

Parking

Parking is currently available at Larocque Park at no cost.

Amenities

Please note that there are public washrooms at the Larocque Park community center, and chemical toilet both outside the community centre and by the Alfred water tower. We are looking to improve the space with benches and more picnic tables over time.
