Skate Shack Schedule

Please note that the skate shacks will only be open between the following times:

  • December 27 to 30: 1pm to 9pm
  • December 31: 1pm to 4pm
  • CLOSED on January 1
  • January 2 to 7: 1pm to 9pm
  • January 8: 10am to 9pm
  • January 9: 1pm to 9pm

Resuming regular hours (4pm to 9pm) for the rest of the winter.

Lefaivre — 2005 du Parc Street

Plantagenet — 500 Albert Street

Wendover — 5000 du Centre Street


If the weather permits it, there will be a free skating path available for users at Park Larocque in Alfred on the baseball field. 

Changes for the 2021-2022 season

  • The shacks are re-opened. A capacity limit has been posted on each.
  • The maximum number of users permitted for Alfred, Plantagenet and Wendover is 25.
  • The maximum number of users permitted in Curran and Lefaivre is 15.
  • The lights will be on 7 days a week from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. unless inclement weather conditions arise over long periods of time.
  • The maintenance of the rinks will generally be between 9:00 p.m. and noon, depending on the weather.  Users will possibly be asked to leave the ice to complete maintenance.

Important notices

  • Please note that it is strictly forbidden to enter the ice surface if signs indicate it is closed whether it be on skates or in boots.  This is to assure the safety of all users and preserve the quality of ice for the longevity of the season.  Please respect these instructions.
  • All of Eastern Ontario Health Unit safety instructions are in effect. We ask you to wash your hands before and after your visit as well as to keep a distance of two metres with the other skaters at all times.
  • All rinks that do not respect the limit of users will be closed.
