New air conditioning and heating units at the MRG Charbonneau Community Centre

Plantagenet, December 2, 2022 - The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is delighted to announce the installation of two new air conditioning units at the MRG Charbonneau Community Centre in Lefaivre to replace the two units that were reaching the end of their useful lives.

This project was made possible thanks to a generous $25,000 grant from the AgriSpirit Fund of Farm Credit Canada (FCC), which supports local initiatives that promote community development in rural areas.

The two new air-conditioning and heating units will enable the Township to maintain a pleasant environment in the community centre throughout the year, whether for community events, meetings, cultural activities, and more. This initiative is part of a wider effort by the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet to promote sustainability and well-being within the community. The units will not only help create a more pleasant environment but will also reduce the community center's ecological footprint by optimizing energy consumption.
