A Name for the Township’s First Dog Park

The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is proud to announce that the new dog park is now open for use by residents. We need you to help us find a name for this awesome new facility. With new amenities being installed, we are planning an official opening this coming spring. Until then, visit the area with your dog and feel free to give us ideas to improve the site.

SNC advises that a Flood Watch Statement is being issued in anticipation of freezing rain, rainfall, and snow melt next week.

Weather Forecast: Environment Canada is forecasting up to 15 cm of snow Saturday, turning into ice pellets and freezing rain Sunday. Rainfall of up to 30 mm of rain is forecasted by Monday evening, with up to an additional 20 mm of rain forecasted by the following Friday. FLOOD WATCH

March 14th, 2025

SNC advises that the Flood Outlook Statement issued on March 10th has been upgraded to a Flood Watch.

Weather Forecast: Environment Canada is forecasting warmer temperatures beginning Friday afternoon with a high of 7°C, followed by a daytime high of 16°C over the weekend in addition to 10-15 mm of rain forecasted on Sunday afternoon into Monday.  

Environmental Conditions: Rainfall and snow melt will lead to increased water levels and flows in local streams and rivers.
