Continuing Improvements in Key Indicators Allowing Province to Ease Additional Public Health Measures

TORONTO — With key public health and health care indicators continuing to improve, the provincewide vaccination rate now surpassing the targets outlined in the province’s Roadmap to Reopen, and on the recommendation of the the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Ontario government is moving the province into Step Two of its Roadmap to Reopen at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.


On Thursday, July 1, 2021, celebrate Canada Day #Canada P R 2021 streamed live on Facebook and YouTube, in collaboration with C A P R A C, the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet, the Municipality of Casselman, the City of Hawkesbury, the Township of East Hawkesbury, the Township of Russell, the City of Clarence-Rockland, The Nation Municipality, the Township of Champlain, and the United Counties of Prescott-Russell. Due to the pandemic, the Council has voted to postpone the tax bill due dates:
  • Residential taxes will be due at the end of July and September (instead of June and September);
  • Commercial taxes will be due at the end of September (instead of August and September).
An amount of 20.15$ will be added to your bill for the trash containers that were delivered last year. A memo had been sent along with your March tax bill.

As a reminder to the citizens of Plantagenet, Jessup's Falls Rd, Parent St and Pitch-Off St will be undergoing extensive road work over the next few weeks. Asphalt pulverization began today and the project is expected to continue for approximately four weeks on Jessup's Falls Street (685 metres) and Parent Street (165 metres).
