
Introduction
The Township of Alfred and Plantagenet is looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to fill the position of Supervisor of Recreational Facilities. This is a permanent, full-time position, working 35 hours per week.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Parks and Recreation, the Supervisor of Recreation Facilities is responsible for inspecting and maintaining all equipment, structures, infrastructure and municipal buildings, excluding community halls housekeeping. The Supervisor coordinates the management, planning, assignment, coordination, supervision and execution of tasks and maintenance and repair work, as well as operations carried out by recreational facility attendants and seasonal employees assigned to the Recreation Department's recreational facilities.

Education
Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
Hiring Requirements and Conditions:
- Be a member of the Ontario Recreation Facilities Association Inc. (ORFA) and be a Certified Recreational Facilities Professional (CRFP), or be eligible to obtain this certification,
- Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment, structures, infrastructure and buildings,
- Knowledge in occupational health and safety and first aid,
- Good ability to communicate in French and English (oral and written),
- Possess a valid Class G driver's license,¸
- Demonstrate the ability to work under little supervision,
- Leadership, organizational and communication skills,
- This position requires the incumbent to exercise physical effort on a regular basis of up to 50 pounds and a degree of concentration on an occasional basis,
- Proven ability to exercise good judgment and absolute discretion with respect to confidential information,
- Provide a criminal record check.
Conditions of Employment:
The terms and conditions of employment are as prescribed in the by-law.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $36.07 for 35 hours of work per week.
The salary range for this position is $65,656.12 to $76,838.88 per year.
