Wendover Water Treatment Plant (WTP)
Schedule C Class Environmental Assessment

The Township of Alfred-Plantagenet has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) to determine the most suitable expansion and/or upgrades to the Wendover WTP to effectively provide drinking water to the existing service population and potential future developments.
See the official document here
How Will This Affect Me?
The study will assess current & future requirements of the Wendover WTP, intake, and low-lift pumping systems and will make recommendations for upgrading and/or expanding the system to meet the needs of the Wendover community. Public & agency consultation is a key element of the Class EA process. Based on your input, alternative strategies will be evaluated to identify optimal community, environmental and economic opportunities.
How Do I Get More Information?
Two Public Information Centres (PICs) will be conducted in the summer and fall of 2026 prior to finalizing the preferred solution and preferred design concept. In the meantime, the study team is reviewing background data and determining alternative solutions.
Updates will be provided throughout the study on the Township website. If you have any questions regarding the study, please visit the Township website. You are also invited to contact a member of the study team at anytime with questions or to provide input into the study.
